The product needed to compete with established tools like Notion and Bear — working seamlessly across mobile and desktop with real-time sync, full offline access, and a distraction-free writing experience. The key constraint was performance on low-powered Android devices where competitors struggled.
Our Solution
We built on React and Firebase with an offline-first PWA architecture that installs natively on both iOS and Android home screens. Background sync keeps notes updated without user interaction, push notifications handle shared note updates, and every UI decision was optimised for sub-100ms response on mid-range hardware.
